I've used it successfully with my Allergic and Hypo T dog, you can see the hot spots/damp areas practically dry up over night. All that I did was to use a Talcum powder puff, and gently powder all the relevant effected areas of skin and between skin folds (being a Sharpei), OK she had a yellow tinge to these areas, but you can just brush/wipe of any excess if necessary. Plus the fact that you aren't using any chemicals on your dogs skin condition, being a natural mineral its a lot more friendlier to your companion.
